This past Sunday afternoon, I was traveling down the highway toward home after a pleasant afternoon at a Holiday Market. Within 2 miles of the event, a buck suddenly appeared and his life and mine would be forever altered. There was a steep incline coming up from a field on the side of the highway where he came from. He undoubtedly had to be running with all of his might to get up that hill and neither he nor I had time to change course. He landed in a broken, yet still alive state in the median as I pulled off the road. I was more concerned about him than myself or my car, but phone calls needed to be made. Fortunately, my stepmom was quick to call 911 to help us get assistance for the deer and for us.
While we were juggling phone calls to emergency services and my insurance company to report a claim and get a tow truck (because by that time we had assessed the car was undriveable), I kept checking on the deer and could see that he was attempting to pull himself to the other side of the median. His tail would wag occasionally as his limp and broken body would move its way from the busy traffic area. When we collided, I saw one of his antlers fly off. It was a moment I will never forget or want to ever repeat. I knew by the damage done to his body and my car that he probably had massive internal bleeding.
While we were waiting for the Sheriff to show up, a man from the Air Force stopped to make sure we were ok, and that help was on the way. Another man in a pickup truck stopped to check on us and to see if we wanted any claim to the deer. I declined and told him that a sheriff was on the way. When the man in the pickup truck got close to the deer, he ramped up his efforts to get away (laying on his side and scooting himself with his front paws) and made it into the first lane of traffic on the opposite side of the median. The man directed traffic around the deer and the next time I looked back they were both on the other side of the highway. I was involved with my phone call, so I didn’t see how they got there. I am guessing the deer pulled himself as the man stopped traffic. The reason I say this is because after we got finished giving the officer what he needed and he explained that he would call for a tow truck faster than the insurance company and go check on the deer and take the necessary steps to eliminate his pain, the deer had traveled quite a distance down the hill on the other side of the highway.
Watching this poor, injured buck fight with such resilience to get to his freedom demonstrates what a strong survivor instinct he had. After processing what I witnessed that day and trying to heal, I realized that humans generally have the same instinct to survive. Many of us have realized that our medical system and governing agencies have failed us, and we are fighting to survive by finding alternative healing protocols, turning back to natural methods based on nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness, and taking control of our health by avoiding doctors and hospitals. Many of us were aware of the corrupt systems in place and already making changes to naturally boost our immune systems and general health before the last 2 years, but many more have joined this way of thinking because of what they witnessed in the last 2 years.
The deer ultimately lost his fight but would have died a slow miserable death without the officer’s assistance. This led me to think about all of the needless suffering so many people have endured under the guise of medical treatment. The only medical services available through insurance are allopathic procedures based on treating the symptoms with pharmaceuticals. All of the clinics having success treating cancer are either forcibly shut down, move out of the country or are continually hassled by government agencies. Here are a few still fighting to survive:
Countless Americans are suffering needlessly with chronic disease. Our medical freedom has been systematically taken from us, the alternatives are suppressed or demonized, and physicians willing to stand up against the narrative are stripped of their credentials. Not only has our choice of treatment plan been stripped by search engine bias and non-covered insurance rules, but families are burdened with high inflation, food & fuel costs, as well as supply chain issues designed to make us fail.
We can be survivors! Keep fighting for your health! Take charge of what you feed your body, how you move your body, how you rest your body, and how you manage your stress. As a believer of God, I know my time on earth is short compared to my eternal life, but while I am here, I hope to help as many people as I can live their healthiest life. If you aren’t sure if you believe in God or not, you better make that decision sooner than latter because having a personal relationship with God will help you navigate and manage your time on earth as well as give you a much better environment for eternity. I want that more than anything for you!
Grace & Peace
